the DEPTH lens
as the foundation of my practice..
a way of seeing the psyche as something alive —
Depth psychology is a way of seeing. It begins with the understanding that psyche means soul, and that beneath our patterns, dreams, longings, and quiet returns, something deeper is always moving. Jung understood the psyche as nature: creative, alive, and tending toward wholeness in its own time. It often speaks through image, symbol, and the body, revealing itself in ways that are often felt before they are understood. When we slow down enough to stay close, we begin to sense its rhythm. The soul moves like a quiet stream beneath the surface of awareness, not always seen, yet gently shaping the way we experience our lives.
A soulful approach to life is a kind of listening. A turning toward what lives within. When we meet the unconscious in this way, even suffering can become a doorway to renewal. There are seasons when this becomes more present — when you’re moving through a change, a relationship shift, a season of grief, or a becoming you can’t quite name yet. When you feel the need to be witnessed in something honest, or to make sense of what’s unfolding within you. In these spaces, storytelling and facilitation become a way of being with what is already there, giving shape to what is felt, and allowing it to be held, honored, and remembered.
These containers hold what lives beneath the surface. Letting what is felt unfold in its own way, through the body, through image, through reflection.
For couples and families, it becomes storytelling. A way of documenting your life as it actually feels. The connection between you. The dynamic, the emotion, the quiet in between. Something honest and lived that you can return to.
For individuals moving through a threshold, it becomes ritual. A space to honor what is changing, what is ending, what is beginning. To give form to what lives beneath the surface, in a way that can be felt and remembered.
For artist and emotive souls, it becomes facilitation. A space to reflect, to explore, to create, and to integrate what is taking shape internally into something tangible.
Different paths to the same ground. A space where what is real has room to surface, and where you can meet yourself with presence, attention, and care.
